Showers this morning and then possibly some strong thunderstorms late in the day and evening! Dry and less humid on Friday! Mainly dry and warm weather expected for the holiday weekend!

Good morning!

Rain is falling across much of the area on this Thursday morning and temperatures are mild with readings ranging from the low 60s in Clifton down to the low 50s further inland, winds are calm or light.

A disturbance ahead of a warm front is giving us showers this morning, this disturbance will move east of the area. We should see a break in the rain from late this morning until late this afternoon when a line of showers and thunderstorms move through the area, some of the storms will be strong especially over inland areas. A cold front will move to our south at night.

Friday will be a seasonably mild day with lower humidity along with plenty of sunshine.

The holiday weekend looks mainly dry but there is a chance of showers Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temperatures will be seasonable on Saturday but rise to above normal on Sunday and on Memorial Day.

today it’s 111… (and in the last 30 years on May 23 it’s rained once – in 2016 …and they got a whopping 0.01 inches)
