Rain is at our doorstep early this Wednesday morning and temperatures are mild ranging from the low 50s in Clifton to the mid 40s in the cooler suburbs, winds are increasing from the east.

Today will be a rainy day as a low pressure system moves into the area, the rain will be heavy at times and there is a chance of a thunderstorm.  Rain will continue into tonight and it will be quite mild and rather humid for late October as dew points reach the low 60s, there will be a continued threat of a gusty thunderstorm,  we should see an average of two inches of rain with some higher amounts possible.

We will have a chance of a shower tomorrow morning and then clearing will take place in the afternoon and temperatures will rise into the 70s.  A cold front will come through late in the day bringing in cooler weather by late tomorrow night.

Mainly dry weather Friday through Sunday, temperatures will be slightly below normal Friday and Saturday moderating to above normal levels on Sunday.  There is a low chance of a shower Sunday morning.

Next week will be mild with no significant rainfall expected.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and with light winds there is  rather big spread in temperatures ranging from the low 40s here in Clifton to some mid 20s in the colder inland valleys.

Today will be another nice fall day with only a slow increase in high clouds, high temperatures should be similar to what was experienced on Monday. Tonight will be cloudy and not as cool as last night.

A storm system approaching from southern Canada along with low pressure moving up from the Gulf states will give us rain mainly after 8 a.m. some of this rain should be heavy at times especially in the afternoon and at night, an average of 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches of rain is possible.  It also will become windy and milder.

The rain should end Thursday morning and with some partial sunshine temperatures should rise to quite mild levels with readings in the 70s.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday evening with cooler temperatures for Friday along with sunny skies.

A nice weekend is still anticipated with near seasonable temperatures.

Next week looks to be quite mild with most temperatures above to much above levels for the first week of November.

Today and Tuesday will have plenty of sunshine both days with seasonably cool temperatures.

Our first widespread significant rain will fall on Wednesday into Thursday morning, expect an average of 1-2 inches of rainfall with some higher amounts, temperatures will be mild.

Seasonably cool and dry weather will return for Friday into the weekend with good weather anticipated for the Mets home world series games and also for Halloween.

Light rain is falling over the area early this Sunday morning and temperatures are mild ranging from the mid 50s in Clifton to the upper 40s in some of the cooler inland areas, winds are light.

We will continue to have some light showers this morning with rainfall amounts mainly under a tenth of an inch.  A cold front will be approaching the area and pass through this afternoon, we should see some sunshine this afternoon and temperatures will be mild reaching near 70 degrees in some spots.

Colder tonight under clear skies as high pressure builds into the area.  Monday and Tuesday will be fair and seasonably cool.

Our first significant rainfall since the beginning of October will occur on Wednesday and Wednesday night as a storm system moves into the area, rainfall amounts of an inch or so is likely.

We should see some clearing on Thursday with mild temperatures.

Dry and seasonably cool air returns for Friday and Halloween.

We have clear skies early this Saturday morning and it is quite chilly with temperatures ranging from the upper 30s in Clifton to some mid-upper 20s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today will be cool as high pressure moves off the New England coast and we should see an increase of clouds, high temperatures will be in the 50s.

A warm front will cross the area early Sunday followed by a cold front during the day,  light showers are likely mainly in the morning, temperatures overnight tonight and Sunday will be around 10 degrees warmer than today.

Another high pressure builds in for Monday and Tuesday with cool temperatures.

Our first significant rainfall event in a few weeks is likely Wednesday into Thursday as low pressure moves into our area, some of the moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Patricia that struck Western Mexico may enhance the rainfall amounts.

Fair and seasonably cool weather likely for Friday and Halloween.
