The front that gave us the rain the past two days will move further to the south as high pressure builds into our area giving us a mostly sunny day today along with comfortable temperatures and humidity.

After having a heatwave followed by rain the last two days we will finally have a stretch of nice summer weather through early next week as high pressure dominates today through at least early next week. Temperatures will gradually become warmer but we should not have any intense heat or humidity.

A front will gradually move to our south today, we should have rain, moderate to heavy at times this morning tapering off to a chance of showers this afternoon. With the clouds and rain high temperatures will only be in the 70s. A flash flood watch is in effect for this morning.

We will then enjoy a period of dry weather Wednesday through the weekend as high pressure dominates. Temperatures near normal with comfortable humidity Wednesday and Thursday rising to above normal with a increase in humidity Friday through the weekend but it will not be as oppressive as our last heatwave.

A front is just south of the area this morning and low pressure will move along the front causing showers and thunderstorms mainly this afternoon and tonight, rain may be heavy at times with some gusty winds possible in thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely with higher amounts possible. A flash flood watch has been posted.

The front will only sag slowly to our south on Tuesday with rain still likely during the day but should not be as heavy as today. Temperatures will be cooler with highs on Tuesday only in the 70s.

Very pleasant summer weather Wednesday through the weekend with plenty of sunshine each day, temperatures will be near normal Wednesday through Friday and then rise to above normal readings over the weekend but it will not be as hot as this past heatwave.

Another very hot and humid day today as high pressure moves offshore and a cold front approaches from the northwest which will give our area a west-southwest flow of air. The temperatures may be a degree or two higher than yesterday. The heat index will rise to about 110. There is a slight chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm but most places will remain dry.

Low pressure will move along the front on Monday which will cause numerous showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening, rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely with higher amounts possible, a flash flood watch has been posted. Temperatures with the clouds and rain will be lower.

Showers should linger into Tuesday as the front moves slowly to our south.

Delightful summer weather Wednesday into next weekend as high pressure dominates. Temperatures will be seasonably warm with comfortable humidity along with plenty of sunshine each day.

Excessive heat will continue today with high temperatures reaching close to 100 degrees and with dew points in the 70s will push the heat index up to close to 115. There is a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm mainly inland, but most of the area will be dry.

Another very hot day on Sunday with highs again near 100 and heat indexes up to 115. There will be a somewhat better chance of an afternoon thunderstorm but again most places will remain dry.

A cold front will slowly move through the area on Monday and be offshore on Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely, and with more clouds and rain high temperatures will be much lower, but it will still be humid.

Some lingering showers Tuesday morning followed by much less humid air.
