Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in Clifton to around 60 further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A warm front approaching from the southwest will cause skies to become cloudy today and it will become more humid as dew points rise to the low 70s by late in the day.  We should remain dry during the day today but showers and thunderstorms are expected from tonight into Wednesday, some of the rain may be heavy at times.  A cold front will cross the area around midday on Wednesday followed by less humid air by evening.

Very nice late summer weather is expected from Thursday through the weekend with plenty of sunshine through this period.  The humidity will be very low Thursday into Friday but slowly increase over the weekend.

Looking ahead it appears that next week will be quite warm to hot.

Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in the Clifton area down to the upper 50s further inland, winds are light northeasterly.  Yesterday we had .07″ of rainfall.

After having measurable rainfall on 12 of the last 19 days today should end up dry except for possible morning drizzle along coastal areas. Some sunshine this afternoon will bring temperatures a few degrees higher than yesterday when the high temperatures was only in the low 70s.   High pressure will be moving off the New England coast.  The humidity will be comfortable with dew points mainly in the low 60s.

A warm front approaching the area on Tuesday will cause the humidity to rise with dew points reaching the oppressive low 70s once again.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely late Tuesday into Wednesday morning when a cold front crosses the area.  Some of the rain may be heavy at times with flash flooding a possibility.

After the front goes by we will finally have an excellent stretch of nice late summer weather Thursday through the weekend with plenty of sunshine along with comfortable humidity.

Skies are mainly cloudy across the area early this morning and temperatures range from around 70 in Clifton to the low 60s further inland.   There are some light showers in parts of the area mostly across Central New Jersey, winds are light northeasterly.   Yesterday I recorded .83 inches of rain.

A cold front has pushed to our south and we will have much cooler air today with highs only reaching the mid 70s, skies will remain cloudy throughout the day with a low chance of a couple of light showers.

Monday will be a pleasant day with seasonably cool temperatures and partly sunny skies.

Tuesday will start off dry but a frontal system will likely cause more rain from late Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, some of this rain may be heavy at times.

High pressure will build into our area late in the week into next weekend providing our area with plenty of sunshine, seasonably warm temperatures and much lower humidity.

Skies are cloudy early this morning and there are some showers moving through our area, temperatures range from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to upper 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high with dew points in the low 70s.   Nearly two inches of rain has fallen since yesterday evening.

Today will be a mostly cloudy and warm and humid day with showers and thunderstorms likely, some storms may again be accompanied by heavy rain and a flood watch continues in effect.  A cold front will cross the area tonight.

Sunday will be cooler but still a chance of a lingering shower especially to our south as the cold front moves very slowly to our south.

Monday looks to be a dry day with comfortable temperatures and humidity as high pressure builds into the area.

More showers are likely late Tuesday into Wednesday as a warm front followed by a cold front swings through the area.

Dry weather with comfortable temperatures and humidity Thursday and Friday as another  high pressure will dominate our weather.

Today will be quite warm and humid as temperatures rise to near 90 and with dew points in the low 70s will bring heat indexes close to 100, a heat advisory continues in effect.  Showers and thunderstorm are likely to develop this afternoon and continue into tonight,  some storms may be strong to severe with strong gusty winds and heavy downpours.

A cold front will cross the area on Saturday it will continue to be warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday will be cooler and less humid but a disturbance along the front to our south may cause some more showers.

After a dry and pleasant Monday more showers are possible late Tuesday into Wednesday as a warm front pushes to our north followed by a cold front.

Dry weather should return for Thursday along with pleasant temperatures and humidity.

Weak high pressure will give us a westerly flow of hot air along with plenty of sunshine today, high temperatures will reach the low 90s, the humidity will lower a bit with dew points this afternoon in the mid 60s.

After a warm and muggy night tonight Friday will be another quite warm day with increasing humidity as dew points rise into the oppressive 70s.   A front approaching from the west will likely give us some showers and thunderstorms mainly after 4  p.m., some of the storms may be accompanied by heavy rain.

The front will cross the area on Saturday giving us a lingering chance of showers during the day.

Very pleasant late summer weather Sunday and Monday as high pressure builds into the area, we should see plenty of sunshine along with pleasant temperatures and lower humidity.

Skies are partly cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in the Clifton area down to the low 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity continues to be high.

The upper air low pressure that has given us rain the last few days has moved offshore and high pressure will build into our area providing us with plenty of sunshine with hot temperatures today and on Thursday as high temperatures reach the low 90s both days.  The humidity will be moderately high with dew points in the upper 60s.   A heat advisory is in effect as heat indexes should rise above 95 degrees.

Another frontal system will approach on Friday which will likely give us shower and thunderstorm activity, the rain may be heavy at times.  It will still be very warm and become more humid as dew points rise to the low 70s.

The weekend looks a little unsettled as showers are still possible but most of time it will be dry with lower temperatures and humidity.

Dry weather with seasonably warm temperatures on Monday but another frontal system may give us more showers on Tuesday.

A trough of low pressure to our west will move through the area today, we should see some sunshine but showers and thunderstorms will develop by this afternoon, the activity looks to be more scattered than yesterday, storms may be accompanied by heavy rain.

Weak high pressure will give us dry conditions with mostly sunny skies tomorrow and Thursday with high temperatures in the low 90s both days, the humidity will be slightly lower with dew points in the mid to upper 60s.

A frontal system will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning, it will be quite warm and humid.

The front will move to our south over the weekend giving our area mainly dry conditions with near normal temperatures and humidity.

A low pressure trough to our west will give us mostly cloudy skies today, showers are likely and may be heavy at times especially this afternoon and evening, a flood watch is in effect.  High temperatures will only reach to around 80 due to the considerable cloudiness but the humidity will be high with dew points rising to the low 70s.

Still a chance of showers on Tuesday as the low pressure trough slowly move through the area, high temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than today and the humidity will remain high.

Dry but hot conditions Wednesday and Thursday but the humidity will slightly drop as dew points will mostly be in the 60s.

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the low 70s in Clifton to the mid 60s in some areas further inland, the humidity is high with dew points near 70.

Yesterday here in Clifton I recorded 3.38 inches of rain with most of it occurring in the late afternoon when 2.50 inches fell that caused considerable road flooding in our area.

Although there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms today the activity should not be as widespread as yesterday but some scattered storms may give some areas heavy rain as the storms will be slow moving.   There will be some sunshine but most of the day will be mostly cloudy, it will be warmer than yesterday and the humidity will be high with dew points around 70.

More rain is likely Monday and Tuesday as a front will be in our area, once again rain may be heavy in some areas.  Temperatures will be near normal but it will continue to be humid.

Wednesday should be dry and quite warm.

Most of Thursday should also be dry but there will be a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.

Showers are still possible Friday  as the persistent pattern continues with a ridge offshore and low pressure to our west.
