A storm is located over the Great Lakes with a warm front to our south, this will cause cloudy skies all day today with a chance of showers. Winds will be brisk out of the southeast gusting at times to 40 mph.

The frontal system will cause an area of heavy rain with possibly a few thunderstorms tonight into Friday morning, rainfall amounts of 1.0 to 2.5 ” is likely with possibly amounts of 3 inches in some spots. Gusty southeast winds will continue.

Friday will continue to be cloudy with some showers likely as the storm system moves slowly offshore.

Rather nice weather for the weekend with plenty of sunshine both days and highs near 70. A weak front may cause some showers Sunday night into Monday morning.

High pressure is moving off the coast as a storm system now in the Chicago area will approach our area. We should see an increase in clouds but most of the day with be dry but rain chances will increase by late tonight. Temperatures will be cooler than yesterday with the clouds and a developing onshore wind.

The slow moving storm system will be moving into the area on Thursday with rain heavy at times especially Thursday night into Friday morning. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely with higher amounts to 3 inches possible. Winds will be strong out of the southeast. The rain will taper off to showers Friday afternoon. A flood watch is in effect.

Some showers will persist into Saturday morning followed by clearing with milder temperatures during the day.

Most of Sunday will be dry but a cold front may touch off some showers Sunday night into Monday morning.

The nice weather will be short lived as another storm system approaches our area on Wednesday. The day will be cloudy and cooler with a chance of light rain in the afternoon.

Showers are likely Wednesday night through at least Friday morning as the storm system slowly moves through the area. Rain may be heavy at times during this period with 1-2 inches of rainfall expected with some higher amounts possible as a strong fetch of tropical moisture moves into the area.

The low pressure responsible for the rain yesterday has moved offshore southeast of Cape Cod but a cyclonic flow will keep clouds around with quite cool temperatures. Some light rain is likely especially this afternoon but rainfall amounts will be light with only a few hundreds of an inch expected.

High pressure will then build into the area on Tuesday giving us sunny skies with milder temperatures.

Another storm system will again give us rain Wednesday afternoon through Thursday tapering off to showers on Friday, rainfall amounts will be around an inch. Temperatures will be not as chilly as yesterday and today.

At this point the weekend looks dry with near or slightly above normal temperatures.

The rain will taper off to drizzle of light rain tonight. Rainfall amounts of .50 to .75 of an inch expected.
