Very warm and more humid Tuesday; Hot with a chance of strong thunderstorms on Wednesday!


At daybreak this morning in the Clifton area we have mostly cloudy skies, temperatures are in the mid-upper 60s, winds are quite light.

Today will become mostly sunny and the humidity will increase, temperatures may rise close to the 90 degree mark.

Tonight will be muggy and there is a chance of thunderstorms after midnight.

Tomorrow will be the hottest day of the season so far, it will be rather humid too.  Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening.

A cold front will come across our area Thursday morning followed by clearing, it still be warm but the humidity will slowly decrease.

Very pleasant weather for Friday with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

At this point the weekend looks a little more unsettled that the last few weekends with a chance of showers on both days, temperatures will be at or even slightly below normal for this time of year.

Looking at the long range computer models it appears no real heat waves are in sight at least through the first few days of July.

Pleasantly warm Monday; First 90 degree readings of the season likely Tuesday and Wednesday!


We have mostly clear skies at daybreak this morning with temperatures in the Clifton area are in the upper 50s with lower 50s further inland.

Another comfortably warm day today as we will have plenty of sunshine and humidity levels will still be on the low side, winds will be lower than yesterday.

Tonight a weak disturbance may touch off some overnight showers and thunderstorms, humidity will start creeping higher.

Tuesday will feature mostly sunny skies and along with higher humidity and high temperatures will be around 90 degrees.

A cold front will be approaching on Wednesday causing an increase in cloudiness and a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day and evening, some of these storms can be strong, humidity will be high and temperatures ahead of this front may rise to the low 90s.

Cooler and less humid Thursday and Friday along with plenty of sunshine.

At this point most of the upcoming weekend looks to be dry with seasonably warm temperatures, however showers may move in on Sunday night as a warm front approaches.

Warm and pleasant Father’s Day!


Skies are clear across the Northern New Jersey area early this morning and temperatures in the area are in the mid 50s.

Yesterday we had more cloudiness than anticipated in the afternoon and with a brisk northwest wind it was quite chilly through the evening.

Today we will have much less clouds so the strong June sun will help raise temperatures into the low 80s with continued low humidity, winds will be a little brisk at times but not as windy as we experienced on Saturday.

A warmer week is in the forecast and we may have our first 90 degree day of the season on Tuesday or Wednesday, humidity will rise also along with a small chance of showers by Wednesday.

A cold front will be slowly moving through the area on Thursday giving the area a better chance of showers and thunderstorms.

This front will not move too far to our south so shower chances will continue Friday and Saturday with somewhat cooler temperatures.

Skies are still overcast early this morning and temperatures in the Clifton area are in the mid 60s.

The frontal system responsible for the stormy weather yesterday is moving offshore as a high pressure moves into the area from the west.  We will have clearing skies this morning and it will be a mostly sunny and seasonably warm Saturday with lower humidities, there will be a refreshing northwest breeze.

Splendid weather will continue on Father’s Day with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and comfortable humidity.

Next week will be quite warm with slowly increasing humidity, there will be chances of afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms Tuesday through Thursday but no widespread rain is expected.

Warm and muggy Friday with showers and thunderstorms; Beautiful weather for the weekend!


At daybreak this morning we have cloudy skies with fog along with occasional showers, temperatures are mostly in the mid 60s in the Clifton area and with the dew points also in the mid 60s the relative humidity is at a saturated 100%.

We will continue to have cloudy skies today along with occasional showers and thunderstorms mostly occurring this afternoon and evening, rain may be heavy at times.  Rainfall will average about 3/4 to an inch with some locally higher amounts. Temperatures will be warmer and the humidity will remain high.

Most showers will end by midnight tonight as a cold front swings through the area.

Another wonderful weather weekend with plenty of sunshine, much lower humidity and comfortably warm temperatures.

As we move into next week temperatures and humidity will slowly increase along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday.
