Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Friday and temperatures are mild with readings ranging from 44 in Clifton down to 40 at Vernon, Basking Ridge and Pequest. Winds are calm or light westerly. The air quality is good with an index of 50.

A cold front will cross the area today but will come through dry. After the front a brisk northwest flow will bring cooler air into our area. High temperatures will only rise to the upper 40s and fall into the 20s tonight.

Saturday will be a mostly sunny and cool day with much less wind than today as high pressure builds in from the west.

We should have increasing clouds on Sunday with rain developing in the evening and end early Monday morning as a storm moves northeast off the coast. Rainfall amounts will average between 1/2 to 1 inch.

Monday will be a mostly sunny day with near seasonable temperatures.

The rest of the week will mainly be chilly and breezy but it should remain dry.
